On March 28th of 2025, the Satanic black mass went ahead as planned in the Kansas Statehouse. What followed was a scene of complete mayhem, filled with protesters, counter-protesters, violence, arrests, and criminal charges. As we previously noted, the chances of this happening were relatively high, and we predicted that something like this might happen. Now, the altercation is making national and international headlines as everyone tries to figure out what actually happened.
Satanists and Christians Ignore Ban on Indoor Protests
It seems that Governor Laura Kelly also predicted that something like this might happen, as she banned all indoor protests (and by extension, the black mass) days before the planned ceremony. However, this was not enough to avert disaster, and the local Satanic Grotto did not simply stay home. Instead, 30 of them turned up at the Statehouse to carry out their planned protest and rituals.
They found a sizable crowd of Christian counter-protesters in violation of the ban waiting for them. Local police were strained as they tried to contain the Christians, setting up yellow tape and warning them to stay away from the Satanists. Still, the opposing groups screamed at each other – and the Christians reportedly demanded that the Satanists convert to their religion. MSN reports that “several hundred” Christians converged on the Statehouse in various groups.
Catholic Weekly claims that before he entered the Statehouse, the leader of the Satanic Grotto “violently kicked” a man who was trying to save fragments of a host. The leader claimed that it was the Eucharist, not a man, and that he desecrated it by stomping on it. Officers reportedly stopped the act, but the Satanic leader was permitted to leave the scene and enter the Statehouse.
The leader then attempted to carry out the black mass. This moment was captured on video, and the footage is now viral. It seemed to depict law enforcement officers standing by as the Satanist raises his hands into the air and begins reciting some kind of pronouncement. He also seemed to be reading from a script written on a piece of paper.
It didn’t take long for a young man to intervene, attempting to rip the script from the man’s hands. This caused the Satanist leader to react, and he allegedly threw numerous punches toward the young man. Finally, the law enforcement officers intervened, taking the Satanist leader and the young man to the ground and placing them under arrest.
The Aftermath
The Satanist leader was charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful assembly, and he was released on a bond of $1,000. The young man who confronted him was also arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, and he was released on a bond of $1,000.
A witness at the scene claims that she and the young man were trying to intervene because the law enforcement officers were not doing anything to prevent the black mass. Two other individuals were also arrested in connection with the protest on March 28th, according to AP News.
The Kansas Highway Patrol later clarified that the Satanic leader had permission to enter the Statehouse – but not to carry out any demonstrations inside.
